The City of Federal Heights was privileged for the 2nd year to host Pinnacle Charter School's Art Show event during the week of May 12 which ended with an artwork awards ceremony on May 16th. City Staff (including Permit Technician/Senior Administrative Clerk Teresa Garramone and Community Service Director Pete Visser) assisted the art teachers from Pinnacle (including Amy Marsh and Jessica Conrad) in reserving space and setting up displays in both City Council Chambers and the Community Room at City Hall. The event took several months of coordination and an enormous amount of hard work by the students to produce the various pieces selected and displayed at the City.

Student and award
Pinnacle Student wins 2nd place for her self-portrait drawing.

The event was very successful and brought many families to City Hall anxious to see the amazing work created by artists of all ages. The artwork created by Kindergarten through 12th grade added color and flare to the City's meeting rooms and hallways. The art work exhibit included sculptures, mosaics, self portraits, tapestries, masks and much more. Amy Marsh, Pinnacle School art teacher, presented awards on May 16th to many excited and honored artists and City Staff was there to capture it all.

Mayor Joyce Thomas who attended the art show said "It is an honor to host Pinnacle Charter School's Art Show this year. We can display the many talents that are right here in our community. We look forward to more opportunities to host similar events in the near future!"
