Miscellaneous Design Projects – Sanitary & Storm Sewers, Water and Street - ES 01-12-6

and

ENGINEERING SERVICES – Water Distribution Hydraulic Model Study -    ES 08-12-1

will be received until 4:30 PM on Friday, January 30, 2012.  There will not be a formal public proposal opening.
The service generally includes design and preparation of construction documents for storm sewers improvements, water improvements, and street improvements. Consultant shall have expertise in roadway and utilities design.


Consultants submitted proposal shall include all task listed in the scope of work.

NOTE FROM CITY ENGINEER

 

The City would like to make all citizens and businesses aware of the anticipated 2011 construction projects that will require their patience and cooperation.  

  • Replacing and upgrading size of storm sewer on Elm Court between 94th Avenue and 96th Avenue
  • Replace a section of sanitary sewer on Zuni Street south of 100th Avenue
  • Lining sanitary sewer in various locations with in Old Town
  • Adding railings to existing storm sewer headwalls at Elm Court Detention Pond
  • Replace a section of storm sewer on Tejon Street between 91st Place and 92nd Avenue
  • Improvements to Tejon Street - This improvement be adding sidewalk to the east side of Tejon Street; replace existing curb returns on west side of Tejon Street with pedestrian ramps; repaving Tejon Street - When improvements are completed there will no parking allowed on the east side of Tejon Street. (Project is partially funded by a Community Development Block Grant)
  • Water main replacement and size upgrade for water main that traverses from south side of Hyland Hills Park & Rec ball fields, traversing southerly along the west side of Hyland Park Heights Subdivision, then traversing southerly on Umatilla Drive, then traversing easterly on 84th Avenue to a termination at Stacy Drive
  • Water Main isolation valves replacement in varies location within the City
  • Concrete Curb, Gutter and sidewalk replacement at various locations within the City
  • Asphalt pavement crack sealing in varies location within the City
  • Asphalt pavement patching in varies location within the City

There is the possibility that projects not listed will take precedence because of emergency situations, which could require some of the listed projects to be delayed.

Construction activities will cause some temporary inconveniences. There may be detours, one-way access with traffic stoppage to allow traffic in the opposite direction to pass and possibly other traffic control set-ups. We will do our best to minimize these inconveniences and thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation as we work to make improvements to the City's infrastructure.
